Disaronno Originale was first produced back in 1900, is 28% abv, and has a characteristic bittersweet almond taste (although it contains no almonds or nuts). The amber coloured liqueur is sold in a distinctive rectangular glass decanter that was designed by a craftsman from Murano. Despite having an almond taste, it contains no almonds, and is nut-free, so safe for people with nut or related allergies.<\/p>\n

Ingredients<\/strong>
\n1 ounce amaretto
\n1 ounce creme de cacao
\nCream, to taste

\n1\/2 ounce Southern Comfort peach liqueur
\n1\/2 ounce sloe gin
\nSplash orange juice
\nSplash sweet and sour mix<\/p>\n

Instructions:<\/strong>Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until chilled and strain into a tall Collins glass.<\/p>\n

4. Amaretto Cranberry Kiss<\/strong>
\nOne of the most popular pins from Recipe Girl, this cocktail is a great Winter warmer or festive treat to impress.<\/p>\n

Ingredients<\/strong>
\n2 cups cranberry juice
\n1 cup vodka
\n1\/2 cup Amaretto
\n3 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
\nice cubes
\nclementines, peeled, separated into segments for garnish, optional<\/p>\n

Instructions:<\/strong>Mix cranberry juice, vodka, amaretto, and orange juice in pitcher. Cover and chill until ready to serve. (You can do this 1 day ahead- keep refrigerated).
