We often talk about pre-date nerves here on Urban Social but it\u2019s usually from the woman\u2019s perspective. But after quizzing some of my closest male friends and finding out what it is they think about before they go on a first date, I have to share my findings with you dear reader.<\/p>\n

What are we going to talk about. <\/b>Some men aren\u2019t known for their talking, and truth be told, I love to talk so it\u2019s not something I\u2019ve ever had to worry about. But for some men, the thought of holding a conversation for more than 15 minutes strikes utter fear. And we can\u2019t really blame them, when you\u2019re sitting across a table from someone, to try and fill a void of two hours by keeping conversation going when it\u2019s the first time you\u2019ve really been together one on one is a daunting task. But before you worry, our advice is to listen loads and just go with your natural instincts – if she mentions work – ask her questions and the conversation will soon be flowing.<\/p>\n
What should I wear. <\/b>Yep ladies, it\u2019s not just us who worry about what we are going to wear.<\/p>\n
Is she really <\/i>in to me? <\/b>Being self-conscious can hit us all pretty hard. It\u2019s easy to get wrapped up in a myriad of questions when you\u2019re preparing to go on a date. But relax. If the other person didn\u2019t want to go – they wouldn\u2019t.<\/p>\n

Is the restaurant I\u2019ve booked fancy enough. <\/b>It\u2019s difficult, we know that. After all, you book somewhere uber classy and you\u2019re risking a very big bill for what could be an awful date or you book somewhere super cheap and casual and be seen as a bit of a cheap skate. However, try sussing out what the other person likes before booking – or skip dinner all together and just meet up for brunch or a few drinks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
