The first message is always the most important. Not to put any pressure on you or anything but it\u2019s kind of the thing that will set you apart from the rest and invite conversation – you need to get this right!<\/p>\n

And let me just say\u2026HEY! doesn\u2019t cut it. Sorry. It needs to be better.<\/p>\n

So here are some straight forward tips for sending that first message.<\/p>\n

Get to the point. <\/b>We are BOMBARDED with information, messages, emails etc every day. Seriously, no one has time to read waffle. So say hello then get to the point. For example if you see that your potential date likes Breaking Bad<\/a> how about something like\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cHey! Liked what I just read and saw you like Breaking Bad. Seriously, how do you think three of them get through a pizza that size? #Questions!\u201d < If they\u2019ve watched the show, they\u2019ll get it and you\u2019ve asked them a question so it\u2019s more likely you\u2019ll get a reply.<\/p>\n

Leave the cheese in your fridge. <\/b>Cheesy messages are just cringe worthy on so many levels. You may think you\u2019re being cute and funny but it\u2019s probably more likely that you\u2019re being weird and just creating a block for yourself.<\/p>\n

Appeal to your potential dates interests. <\/b>So you like the same movies, the same tv shows, you\u2019ve even travelled to the same countries. Great. You\u2019ve found someone who likes the same stuff as you, acknowledge it then move along. You don\u2019t want to spend your time gushing over someone for liking the same stuff, instead just get down to talking about it in a non fan girl\/boy way.<\/p>\n
