Ideally, the perfect holiday fling should be forgotten about the moment that we step foot on the plane, but we know that\u2019s not always the case. So before you waste month\u2019s of your life waiting for an email that will never come and fantasising about giving up your wonderful life in exchange to live in a villa with your lover – stop. Here are some top tips on having a holiday fling without the broken heart at the end.<\/p>\n

1. Be realistic.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Come on, you\u2019ve just met this person, are you REALLY in love? You may have a serious case of lust but is it really love<\/em>? After all, this person is being the perfect version of themselves. Two weeks isn\u2019t long enough to experience the burping in bed or sleeping with their socks on. So enjoy the moment but don\u2019t make more of it than it is.<\/p>\n

SORRY. We don\u2019t want to be romance poopers, really, we don\u2019t. But does your life really match up with what\u2019s happening on holiday? As fab as your holiday is, it\u2019s a break away from the norm and usually, with that comes lack of rational thinking!<\/p>\n

4. Is he really the man you\u2019d date if you were home?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Get a sense of perspective, is this man really the type of person you\u2019d go for if you were at home? If the answer is a big, fat NO then be prepared to say goodbye at the gate and not to think of them again. There\u2019s no point in losing your head over someone who you\u2019d never go for in your regular life.<\/p>\n

Holidays are great for getting away and forgetting all about the pressure of every day life. Add in the flowing wine, the searing sunshine and the sea air and it completely changes how we see things. Our judgement very easily becomes affected and that\u2019s when holiday romance\u2019s usually begin.
