If you\u2019ve delved in to the wonderful world of internet dating but finding it impossible to land a date then we\u2019ve got some great advice for you.<\/p>\n

Here are 10 reasons why you aren\u2019t getting any dates:<\/h2>\n

1.\u00a0Your profile photo isn\u2019t right\u2026<\/p>\n

It\u2019s so crucial that your profile photograph makes a great impression. If your image is old, blurry, of you with the dog, you with a gang of mates or maybe it\u2019s a picture of your cat – then you\u2019re not going to make that first impression count. Upload a photo that shows you in the best possible light. It\u2019s not about being a supermodel, it IS about showing how wonderful you are.<\/p>\n

2. \u201cI like to laugh\u201d<\/p>\n

There are thousands of members on each and every dating site so you\u2019ve got to stand out. Putting things like \u201cI like to laugh\u201d (< because WHO DOESN\u2019T) isn\u2019t going to make you sound very exciting. Maybe put something specific that makes you laugh i.e. \u201cI love to go to live comedy shows and my favourite comedians are\u2026\u201d.<\/p>\n

3. You\u2019re not making an effort<\/p>\n

Sorry to say this but you can\u2019t just put a profile up and expect love to come to you. You\u2019ve got to be proactive.<\/p>\n

4. You\u2019re fussy.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s nothing wrong with having standards and knowing what you want but there is a thing as being too fussy. Don\u2019t over analyse\u00a0everything in an effort NOT to communicate with someone whose sent you a message or reject someone because they\u2019re 5\u201911 instead of 6\u20190. Just meet for a drink, it\u2019s just a drink, not a marriage proposal.<\/p>\n

5. You\u2019re asking too much.<\/p>\n

You may want to keep unsuitable and dodgy characters away but don\u2019t make your profile one long list of deal breakers. If a bloke sees a profile full of deal breakers he\u2019ll just assume you\u2019re looking for that illusive perfect man so won\u2019t bother to message you.<\/p>\n

6. Don\u2019t be scared of actually meeting up.<\/p>\n

You should only go on a date when you\u2019re good and ready. But don\u2019t let the online chat turn in to a long winded affair. If you can\u2019t commit to a face to face meeting then you\u2019re not going to be able to commit to a relationship. Get out from behind that screen and meet!<\/p>\n

7. You don\u2019t send any messages.<\/p>\n

This falls under not making any effort. There are times when you have to be the first person to send a message. Break that ice and take matters in to your own hands.<\/p>\n

8. You stick to your type.<\/p>\n

Everyone has a certain type but there\u2019s nothing wrong with stepping outside your box and giving someone whose not<\/i> your type a go. Branch out – you never know who you may meet.<\/p>\n

9. Don\u2019t lose focus.<\/p>\n

Dating sites are not like your ordinary social network. You\u2019re not there to make friends or to update your status with everything single thought. You\u2019re there for one reason and one reason only – to find true love.<\/p>\n

10. You\u2019re scaring him away.<\/p>\n

The same rules apply to online dating as they do in real life. If you\u2019re too clingy or you message them too much (especially if you send the \u201cdid you get my message\u201d message) then they are going to back away and not look back. Don\u2019t waste your time on someone whose not interested, you can\u2019t be everyone\u2019s cup of tea – just move on to the next.<\/p>\n
