We briefly covered what to wear on a first date just last week but we had such good feedback from you all that we thought that we\u2019d expand a little. When it comes to fashion and dating, there are so many rules out there that it\u2019s impossible to know what to take as gospel.<\/p>\n
However, here are some tried and tested tips that will help any woman when it comes what to wear on a first date.<\/p>\n
Don\u2019t stress out about it. <\/b>YES I know, it\u2019s hard when you\u2019re prepping for a first date not to stress out about it but the longer you spend in a spin over what to wear, the worse that the decision will get.<\/p>\n
Don\u2019t be too ambitious. <\/b>We aren\u2019t suggesting that you give up your favourite statement piece but for a first date, less is most definitely more. We suggest that you go neutral on the first date. Black and white is extremely sexy and team it with a bold red lipstick and you\u2019re staying on the safe side whilst giving off a fun, seductive vibe.<\/p>\n
Don\u2019t show too much.\u00a0<\/b> You have a great figure and of course you\u2019re going to want to show it off. But on the first date we suggest that you stick to showing off your favourite asset. When it comes down to being sexy then one part is enough.<\/p>\n
Dress right for the activity. <\/b>Ignore the \u201cyou should only wear stilettos\u201d brigade and think about what outfit actually suits your date. If you\u2019re doing something physical then you don\u2019t want to be tottering around in heels. And likewise if you\u2019re going for dinner and drinks, you don\u2019t want to feel uncomfortable so make sure that you wear something that will fit in with the place you\u2019re going.<\/p>\n
High maintenance isn\u2019t always good. <\/b>You want to look approachable and sometimes, high maintenance can be totally unapproachable. Think elegant and sexy rather than model like.<\/p>\n
Tone down the make up. <\/b>Before the date practice finding a balance, you don\u2019t want to over do the make up but you also don\u2019t want to under do it either. Wearing too much make up is distracting.<\/p>\n
Don\u2019t wear anything that makes you feel like you have to such it all in. <\/b>Wearing an outfit that\u2019s too tight or too fitted never makes good sense. First dates are uncomfortable enough without you having to wear spanx so tight you can\u2019t breathe or constantly having to suck your stomach in. Wear something that you feel comfortable in and that you can sit down in too.<\/p>\n
