Dodge, 63

I'm not one for writing autobiographies but me in a nutshell is something like this. I have just turned 50 but still do all the things I did when I was 30, just with a bit more of a mature approach about it. I was married for 27 years (no kids) before separating last year and although we remain on reasonably amicable terms, she has now moved away so I hardly have any worthwhile contact. I am looking to get back on my feet again and find someone with similar interests to share evenings out, day trips, weekends away, holidays etc, gaps that my normal friends can�t seem to fill.

I have a relaxed, laid back approach and certainly don�t take life too seriously. Like most people, I have my good and bad points but I am honest, loyal, respectful and have a pretty active calendar, just no-one to share much of it with. I enjoy watching football (I'm a Spurs season ticket holder � that�s probably blown most of my options) and also follow local non-league clubs. I go to a lot of gigs (around 50/60 a year) and have travelled extensively home and abroad although I don't drive (which makes me a bit of a social outcäst to most people!). I'm can�t dance, can't sing, don't have wardrobes of designer gear and prefer a quiet pint of Real Ale in a traditional pub to swanning around pretentious cocktail bars with pounding music. I�m not much of a beach type person, preferring to explore places than sit around in them. I enjoy walking, whether exploring new towns and cities or out in the coun try, rain or shine and if there�s a good pub along the way, even better. I am a member of English Heritage, National Trust, RSPB, Wildlife and Wetland Trust and CAMRA among other things which should be a guideline of the sort of things I enjoy. I don�t watch much TV, mainly documentaries, football and movies, certainly nothing along the lines of soaps or reality shows. I have a broad (some would say warped) sense of humour with the Simpsons, Monty Python and Carry On's being the sort of things that are guaranteed to get me laughing.

I am solvent and reasonably independent and certainly don't expect anyone to be my cook, chauffer or cleaner. I�m not expecting miracles but if I can find someone with a similar outlook that ticks a few of the boxes and fill the voids, that would be mission accomplished! I don�t bite but I don�t suffer fools gladly either so don�t be afraid to dr0p me a line if I sound remotely interesting!
