Clare, 46

OK a little background on me.

Whilst I am English born I moved to Ireland at the grand age of 3mths and was raised there until the age of 15. My Irish friends are appalled at my apparently now English accent and my English friends find my acute lack of drinking stamina a let down to my fellow Irishmen. They all seem to agree however that me, a few glasses of wine and a blackberry are a fairly lethal combination :-)

I really enjoy my job and have worked hard to establish myself in my profession. It would be fair to say that I am motivated, ambitious and my career is important to me. I am also grounded enough to realise that next to things like family and friends it comes second.

Ok we all know that there are not many deals happening in the M&A market right now so my career is, well, at more of a jog than a full on steam train. So am I taking it easy and putting my feet up, nope, I�ve roped myself into a 600k cycle across Tanzania in October to raise money for Kids with AIDS. I am therefore spending a lot of time acquainting myself with the spin room at my local Gym.

Why am I doing this? Well my friends have mused with very early mid life crises or the fact that I am just nuts. Seriously though, great cause!

Whilst I am passionate about the great outdoors, happy to put on my hiking boots and waterproof coat and have dinner in the local pub it would be fair to say that I am also a bit of a girly girly. I enjoy my hit of fab restaurants, boutique hotels/spa�s etc. Any chance to put on an elegant dress and attend an classy function and I am there.

So what am I looking for on here? Well, I honestly didn�t expect to end up here, I have amazing friends, an active social life and a great career and have landed on my feet in most aspects of my life. All except that is for finding that someone special to share it with. Trouble is, the majority of my friends are now either in the married or married with kids club and whilst I would someday hope to join them, my opportunities for meeting new singles amongst my current social circles are diminishing somewhat.

So, if you are an honest, sincere, fun loving gent who wants to meet someone likeminded to share romance, adventure and just life�s general ups and downs maybe we should chat and who knows what we might discover.
