Brendan, 50

Hi, I'm an Irish man who has been living in London for over 10 years, which is a little longer than I anticipated as I only meant to come here for a training course! I would consider myself to be quite a chilled out kind of guy as work has taken possession of all the serious bones in my body and I'm more than happy to leave them at my desk before going home. I'm very enthusiastic about a range of topics from art and music to running outside in the park.. though winter will probably curb my enthusiasm for the latter quite quickly!

Unsurprisingly, I do conform to the Irish stereotype of enjoying nothing more than being social and sipping on a pint of Guinness, preferably in a bar with big leather couches and large windows so I can watch the world go by. Other simple pleasures I enjoy include hearing a song that I haven't heard in years been played by the shuffle function on my iPhone and discovering that the item I bought from a clothes store previously is still in stock. I have a habit of buying duplicates of my favourite items for fear of losing them.. does anyone else do this?!

I also enjoy attending the opening nights of art galleries exhibiting street artists such as Banksy. Though one fine reason for attending is the free drink available, another is the chance to buy some of the art work. Though care is required, as drinking at an art gallery can result in the most expensive night of your life..

I believe that I have lived quite a full life so far and would hope to find someone to join me in this ongoing adventure. I have travelled extensively and have enjoyed everything from the five star hotel life to the joy of staying with likeminded travellers in hostels. I'm probably the world's laziest snowboarder as rather than feel the urge at sunrise to hit the slopes, I prefer to enjoy a well earned sleep in followed by a lengthy period of admiring the view at the top of the mountain with some strong coffee before I start.
