Right let's cut to the chase....by my reckoning I've got only a couple of minutes to rock your world with my wit, sophistication, fiendish good looks and overall general awesomeness...basically to convince you that honey I could potentially be your man!

Right, sleeves rolled-up, heads down...here we go!

People often say to me "jon you're a such a great chap, why on earth are you still single?" my response to that is simply "my friend, I simply haven't met the right girl. She's definately out there, I just haven't had the good fortune to meet her...YET!"

But I believe you make your own luck in this world, so here I am trying to find you!

When I'm not conjuring up ridiculous, yet hopefully attention-grabbing intro paragraphs to dating websites, you'll find me running around badminton courts, football pitches and bombing up and down the swimming pool - in the eternal quest for fitness, I am winning!

I love my job although I most definately have a 'work to live' mentality so I enjoy socialising whenever opportunity knocks. Whether it involves hitting a Soho cocktail lounge or a karaoke bar on a Friday night, or down the local in Clapham Old Town discussing the burning issues of the day with friends.

Music is a particular passion, especially indie and alternative rock and I like to check out live bands and festivals whenever I can. After 4 consecutive years of rolling around in the mud I 'opted out' of last years Glastonbury (a wise choice in hindsight) but enjoyed the sunshine at the Big Chill and Bestival...I've already got my ticket for next year...now just need to find a suitable fancy dress theme

Travelling is also high on the priority list. Whether that involves chilling out in an Ibizan villa with friends or planning a solo adventure into the Swedish arctic wilderness (as I am doing in early March) there is quite literally SO MUCH that this planet has to offer and I intend to see as much of it as is possible.

One of the perks of my job is that I get to travel quite a bit, whether it's around major European cities or further afield. I have fallen in love with Tokyo and am now a fully confirmed Japanophile! Would love to go back there soon for a proper look around...there's a few sushi bars that I haven't checked out! I'm not that bothered about LA though...far too flat.

In quieter moments, I enjoy the things that everyone else seems to enjoy, movies, restaurants, nights-in, cooking exotic meals, taming lions...all that kind of thing.

But what about my sensitive, romantic side?

Well I am a true gent at heart (I am!) and I would willingly hold doors open, carry heavy luggage up flights of stairs, gladly give up his tube seat for a person in need. I never play music out loud over my mobile phone on public transport either.

So the lucky lady who snaps me up can look forward to unexpected yet honest compliments, the odd romantic gesture (not saying what), a trustworthy, confident chap who is certainly no pushover!

Basically expect a great big, belly-filled laugh of a time...because after all that's what I believe life is all about!
