I'm a romantic, unconventional soul who retains a sense of wonder at the world I live in, and never tires of exploring it. I value my family, friends and the moments shared with them more than material things, although I appreciate the opportunites that money provides to do the things I love. I like to keep healthy by walking, cycling and playing badminton.

I love to travel and am always planning my next trip, there are so many places in the world I still want to visit, and few things beat the feeling I get when I step onto the tarmac or soil of a new place, ripe for exploring. I am passionate about music, from rock, classical, folk and world music, regularly attending gigs and concerts. I have been learning to play the Piano for the last few years and whilst I will never be a virtuoso, I dream of one day being able to play in public and bring people pleasure from my playing. I've also recently rediscovered a childhood love of drawing and art and am in the process of developing this further, through a meetup group I've joined and also night courses.

I also enjoy visiting museums (the V&A and British Museum are among my faves) and historical sites around the UK. Everything in life needs balance I believe, and so I'm equally at home curled up in front of a DVD or lost in a book (I love reading) as I am bouncing around at a concert, chasing a shuttle around a badminton court, or discovering what's just around the next corner in a faraway place.
