Hey, my name's Gareth, I'm 26 and I'm currently working and living in the lovely little leafy suburb of Manchester called Chorlton cum Hardy. I'm a bit of a folkie troubador, and love music above all.<br><br>I'm also a bit of a geek when it comes to technology; I work for IBM and Arcadia (they run Topshop, Topman, Dorothy Perkins etc...) doing technical support, helping the hapless store assistants with their tills, the mathematically challenged managers with their banking, and IBM engineers with the cogs and bolts of the computers.<br><br>My real passions though are music, film, and art. I love the sound of acoustic guitar, although I could probably tell you about at least one artist I enjoy in any genre you'd care to mention. Grew up listening to my parents dub, reggae, and Beatles records, and later found Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Muse and Pink Floyd. Now I'm really into Regina Spektor, Sufjan Stevens, Rufus Wainwright and coun tless other new bands. If you want to meet someone who thinks of a suitablë mix tape for everyone he meets, then I'm your man :)<br><br>I'm also a huge film fan. Terry Gilliam, Stanley Kubrick, Michael Gondry, Spike Jonze and Wes Anderson are my all-time top five film directors with honourable mentions to Sophia Coppola and Jean Pierre Jeunet...<br><br>I'm also quite politically minded, I'm currently doing an Open University course in Social Sciences, and I love debate. I'm a real leftie, I'm all about socialism.<br><br>I think I'm a really good person to know, I'm a sensitive, loyal friend, love to chat about everything and nothing, and I'd like it if you said hello :D
