I live and work in Ryde on the Isle of Wight, I am separated, slovent, healthy, in fulltime work and have lots of grown up sons and daughters who live near me. I love the sea and enjoy being close to it, my favourite is to walk the shore at dusk whatever the weather. I also enjoy walks along the downs, leaving the car behind, finding quiet places with memories haunting them, coun try pubs, good food, laughter, good company, witty conversation, gigs, town pubs with live music, quiz nights, driving out in my 34 year old Spitfire across the downs, watching the swallows play chase across the sky in the evenings over Ryde, strolling to work in the morning without a jacket, feeling the autumn chill stealing into the last days of summer mornings, sitting on the back doorstep eating a bowl of cornflakes in the morning watching the the starlings hop around the garden scavenging for scraps. At night, going outside to watch the stars and listen to the quietness, shiver with the chill in the air.

Then there's the other side of me, flying out to Cyprus to my little place outside Kyrenia. Picking up a car from Larnaca and driving north across the border to another world. Here it is the heat, the slow way of life, the land aches with history. I greet my neighbours, shop in the supermarket with giggling Turkish Cypriot girls, dine by the bay looking out at a sunset to die for. Stroll along Kyrenia's ancient harbour and sip a glass of wine. I watched a huge yellow moon sit smiling over the Mediterranean sea only a few weeks ago as I watched a live band play some of my 70's favourites. The temperature was 38 degrees, I sat by the pool and read a scary book by James Herbert, then drove up to a beautiful village on the mountainside called Bellapais and ate meze washed down with Efes lager by the ancient abbey. And I thought to myself, no matter how much I have, I'm lonely.

So, I just want to find someone who enjoys the things I do, I am very relaxed and chilled, probably too much, I enjoy companionship and have a wicked sense of humour. To those I love, I am intensely loyal. I always try to let my companion know how I feel about her even to embarrassing displays of affection in public. Sad, I know, but who cares?

When you talk to me, I listen as well, my job includes that so thats how I know how to do it. And there you have it, that's about it all.
